
DJ Avila (Avila Islam) was officially crowned Miss Eco Bangladesh 2026 at an event held in the capital city, Dhaka. On March 4, 2026, she was formally announced as Miss Eco Bangladesh 2026 during a press conference held at The Enchanted Residence in Banani, Dhaka.
During the event, the National Director of Miss Eco Bangladesh, Alisha Islam, placed the crown on Avila Islam’s head. Alisha Islam previously earned the titles of Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019 – 1st Runner-Up and Miss Cosmo Bangladesh 2025. The program, held from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, was attended by representatives from both national and international media outlets.
After being selected as the new Miss Eco Bangladesh 2026, DJ Avila will travel to Egypt on May 12, 2026, to participate in the Miss Eco International competition. She will depart from Dhaka’s International Airport to represent Bangladesh in the international beauty pageant.

Working for Environmental Protection – Miss Eco Bangladesh 2026
Avila Islam (DJ Avila) has been actively working on environmental protection, recycling initiatives, and sustainable development since receiving the title of Miss Eco Bangladesh 2026. She is also participating in field-level cleanliness campaigns as a member of BD Clean, one of Bangladesh’s most popular volunteer organizations.
Her plans are not limited to cleanliness drives alone. She also aims to collaborate with corporate institutions and manufacturing companies to collect waste and recycle it into reusable products.
According to Avila Islam, removing waste alone does not fulfill the responsibility; what is truly needed is a change in people’s mindset and greater environmental awareness.

Spreading Environmental Awareness Through Art
Miss Eco Bangladesh 2026, DJ Avila, also plans to promote environmental awareness through art and creative initiatives. She intends to create environment-themed paintings and display awareness messages in public gathering places, along riverbanks, and even on boats.
According to Avila Islam, art and colors have the power to inspire people and awaken a love for nature. She believes that using art as a medium can encourage people to adopt more environmentally-friendly behaviors and become more conscious about protecting the environment.
